Luis Felipe de la Torre

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on April 29, 1962.
He enters the National School of Painting and Sculpture "La Esmeralda" in 1981 and in 1985, he studies Mural painting in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
He worked with Arnold Belkin in "Los prometeos", a mural he painted in the "Palacio Orden", in the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa campus, in Mexico City.
He also worked with Vlady, in Managua, Nicaragua, on the mural: "The Awakening of the Revolutions".
He received the "National Youth Award" in Plastic Arts in 1987.
From 1989 to 1991 he lives in the Swiss Alps and studies in Rome, Italy.
In 91-93 he lives in India, in the Himalayas.
In 1999 he obtains the Scholarship of the State Fund for Culture and Arts of Jalisco.
For several years he has been teaching Composition, at master and diploma level, at different universities in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Zacatecas.
He has painted 5 murals in different public buildings in Mexico and Central America.
He has more than 50 national and international collective exhibitions and 8 individual exhibitions, the last of which were held at the A.P. Gallery and the Manuel Felguérez Museum of Abstract Art in Zacatecas. He is currently exhibiting at the Alquimia 4 Gallery in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
